“My daughters” Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively share first photo of new baby
Ryan Reynolds posted a photo of himself carrying his newborn baby overnight, beaming baby mama by his side, and the caption reveals he and Blake have welcomed a baby girl.

The couple are parents to daughters James (who is four) and Inez (who is two). Their newest baby girl was apparently born a couple of months ago, but news of the birth has only leaked in the last couple of weeks.
The quite private couple had a busy day on social media yesterday, sharing not only the photo of their new daughter – albeit with her face obscured – but also a cute throwback pregnancy photo of Blake.
The newborn photo was shared on Twitter in the name of highlighting climate change and urging Canadian citizens to vote with climate policy top-of-mind.
“I love BC,” Ryan wrote alongside the snap of himself, Blake and their new baby in the lush woods of British Columbia.
“I want my daughters to experience the same natural playground I grew up in. On Oct 21, the candidate you vote for will SHAPE CLIMATE POLICY. I’m proud of the climate progress made the last 4 years.”

Yesterday’s throwback photo of Blake and her most recent bump was in honour of a new partnership she has with Amazon’s baby registry and was shared via her Instagram account.
Notoriously private
This small flood of photos is unexpected, because the couple have gone to great lengths to shield their children from the media and give them a private childhood.
“Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had,” Blake told Marie Claire in 2016.
The couple and their first daughter were absolutely hounded by the press after her birth, and they’ve consequently drawn a firm line when it comes to their children’s media exposure.
“We knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it’s hard … it’s another thing when it’s our child. [James] didn’t have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants.”
“We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had, because we’d feel really selfish.”
