New mum Ashley Graham shares powerful photo taken during childbirth
Brand new mum Ashley Graham has taken the opportunity to share a photo of herself in the midst of birthing a human, inspired by International Women’s Day.
“My greatest strength”
Ashley gave birth to a little boy named Isaac Menelik Giovanni around a month ago, and since then she’s been sharing plenty of snaps from the parenting trenches.
“This is the face of my greatest strength,” the model mum (who has been married to Isaac’s daddy Justin Ervin for nine years) wrote alongside one such photo on Instagram yesterday.
“The greatest pain I’ve ever known and the greatest accomplishment that I’ve ever achieved,” a clearly emotional Ashley continued in the caption alongside the powerful image taken during labour.
“On this International Women’s Day understand that despite whatever pain or trial we have all experienced as women, we are also strong, powerful and capable of accomplishing greatness.”
“Let’s all celebrate our, and each other’s strengths today,” she summed up.
Anyone who has had a baby will have grappled with feelings of absolute amazement, pondering how they could have grown an entire little person inside them. It really is one of the greatest human superpowers, so we’re not surprised that Ashley’s still coming to terms with her own brilliantly beautiful baby effort.
