Supermodel Ashley Graham gets real with fabulous new Instagram picture
A week ago, supermodel Ashley Graham and her husband of nine years Justin Ervin announced the exciting news that they’re expecting their first child. But it’s Ashley’s latest baby bump pic that is now the talk of the town.
Getting real
The high profile, newly pregnant model has just posted a different sort of selfie on Instagram – one that required no clothes, just her natural body, complete with curves and stretch marks – and the caption, “Same same but a little different.”
The shot has already attracted a tsunami of positive responses, with people thrilled to see what is, in fact, a very real body. Stretchmarks are a part of life, particularly in pregnancy and women are sighing with relief everywhere, thankful for Ashley’s courage and openness when it comes to body image.
Thanks for your honesty
The post has caused quite a stir, to say the least, with over 1.2 million likes and a host of grateful comments, such as, “Thanks for making all of us feel normal!!!”
“You continue to set the bar for real beauty inside and out,” says another fan. “Thank you for your transparency.”
“They aren’t stretch marks, those are LIGHTING BOLTS OF FABULOUSNESS!!!” writes another.
For some, the photo became even more personal: “I wish we had Instagram when I was in high school. I became anorexic because I didn’t ‘like’ my body. This post may save some lives Ms. Graham. Thank you for your courage and honesty. God bless you.”
Not everyone loves the photo. But quite frankly, a woman proud to show her body that is growing another human being – what’s not to like!

Ashley and Justin are clearly over the moon, after announcing their pregnancy six days ago through an endearing video on Instagram with the couple proudly revealing Ashley’s growing belly.
“Nine years ago today, I married the love of my life,” wrote Ashley. “It has been the best journey with my favorite person in the world! Today, we are feeling so blessed, grateful and excited to celebrate with our GROWING FAMILY! Happy anniversary, @mrjustinervin ❤️ Life is about to get even better.”
