Actor Chris Pratt and wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger welcome a baby girl
Congratulations to Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt! Katherine has given birth to the couple’s first child together, a sweet little girl with a mighty big name – Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt.
Chris and Katherine both posted the same image on their Instagram accounts, announcing their daughter’s birth, with Chris adding on his post that, “Both mom and baby are doing great.”
Katherine is US royalty – the daughter of former American politician and actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Maria Shriver, journalist and member of the Kennedy family. In fact, Maria introduced her to Chris in 2018, and now the couple have paid tribute to her by giving their daughter her name!
According to E! News, Katherine has said that her mother, Maria, “has been the greatest mom and continues to be the greatest mom.”
Katherine has previously told E! News that being pregnant during COVID has been ‘interesting’ but that she’s found ways to see the silver linings by being able to spend more time organising.
ET reported that according to a source, “The couple is so excited for their new addition and have been showered with love from their family and friends … Chris was there for the birth and the couple canât stop taking their eyes off their daughter. Katherine and Chris are doing well and Katherine is enjoying the experience of being a first time mother.”
Lyla is Chris’ second child; he shares care of his son, seven-year-old Jack, with actor Anna Farris.
