Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s first child was born on 6 May and the couple named him Archie Harrison.

“The best night’s sleep”

During their early days of parenting, it was revealed that Archie is a wakeful and hungry little baby.

“Meghan’s been up in the night nursing, feeding on demand every few hours. Apparently, he’s a hungry little baby,” royal expert, Katie Nicholl asserted back in June.

Now that we’re four months down the track, it seems that those early weeks of broken sleep have extended to months. It’s been a steep learning curve for Archie’s mum and dad.

During a speech in Amsterdam earlier this week – where Harry was announcing his new partnership with the just-launched Travalyst – Harry shared a little more detail on those long nights and weary days.

“Having spent last night here,” he began, “I don’t know about you guys, but it was definitely the best night’s sleep I’ve had for the last four months!”

Harry was also presented with a cute gift for Archie – a Miffy cutlery set illustrated by Dutch artist Dick Bruna.

Keeping his family safe

Harry and Meghan recently came under fire for flying their family in a private jet four times in eleven days.

“The Sussexes reportedly took the tot to Ibiza for a summer break at the beginning of August, where they celebrated Meghan Markle’s 38th birthday,” Hello Magazine reports.

“They then enjoyed a stay at Sir Elton John and David Furnish’s stunning villa Castel Mont-Alban, in Nice, which overlooks the French Riviera.”

During the Amsterdam Travalyst launch, Harry addressed the criticism of the family’s private jet usage head on.

“I spend 99 percent of my life traveling the earth commercial, but occasionally I have to make a decision not to, to ensure my family are safe,” he explained.

No doubt the assembled guests were delighted to hear a little bit more about Archie direct from his royal dad.

It’s thought that we’ll all find out even more when the family heads off to South Africa for an offical visit later on this month.

“I can’t wait to introduce my wife and son to South Africa! We’ll see all of you very soon,” Harry wrote on Instagram earlier this week.

Harry will also be visiting Angola, Malawi and Botswana on his own during this tour.
