Kylie Jenner became a mum three short months ago, and after a very private pregnancy, she’s now opening up a little more about her adorable baby girl.

“Stormi picked her own name”

Kylie – who will turn 21 in August – did her first extensive interview about motherhood with The Evening Standard, under the watchful eye of sister Kim Kardashian. (In fact it was Kim who interviewed her for the piece.)

Kylie told Kim she’s loving everything about being a mum, and is simply going with the flow when it comes to parenting her daughter.

Stormi’s name, for instance, was settled on very easily and organically, surprising everyone, Kylie included.

“I really don’t know how we thought of Storm,” Kylie says. “Her dad insisted it was him, but I feel like it was me. And that kind of just stuck with us. And then I didn’t really like just Storm — I didn’t feel like that was her name. So then it became Stormi. And it just stuck.”

“I feel like there were a lot of other names that I might have even liked better to be honest, but I feel like Stormi picked her own name, like it was just her name.”

Keeping Up With The Kids

Stormi was the second of three Kardashian-Jenner babies to be born to these famous siblings this year. Kim Kardashian West welcomed a daughter, Chicago, in January with the help of a gestational carrier. Khloé Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl named True in April.

This year’s babies were warmly welcomed by a whole bunch of slightly more grown-up little cousins – Kourtney’s children Mason, Penelope and Reign, Kim’s other children (North and Saint) and Robert Kardashian’s daughter, Dream.

“They hang out all the time”

These kids are sure to mirror their famous mothers’ fierce sibling bonds, and Kylie says the youngest babies are already very close.

“They hang out all the time. It’s crazy how fast they grow, because Chi [Chicago] is just, like, two weeks older, but you can tell she’s a little bit more advanced. And then, right when Stormi hits two weeks, she’s doing the same things Chi was doing, and they’re like… it’s just crazy to see them grow up together.”

Kylie says having an older sister experiencing pregnancy for the first time alongside her had lots of brilliant advantages.

“It was so much fun [being pregnant at the same time as Khloé]. We would just experience everything together. I was a little bit ahead of her, so we were both doing it for the first time and I would just like warn her of things that happened … the amazing things that are going on, and feeling the baby for the first time. So we would talk, like, on a daily basis about everything.”

“It made her more scared”

There was, however, one point when going through things together created some fresh challenges for Khloé.

“I needed Khloé in the room with me,” Kylie says, “[But] I think it made her more scared.” Khloé has since advised pregnant women to stay well away from the births of other people’s babies, but Kylie says it meant a lot to her to have her sister by her side.

“She was there for all my other sisters. She’s just very, very nurturing. So she really helped me through the whole thing. Everyone should have Khloé in their delivery room.”

While we get to see a lot of Stormi via Kylie’s social media accounts, she admits she’s undecided about whether her baby will appear on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“I have thought about it but I haven’t come to a conclusion yet,” she revealed.
