Providing further proof that people will have a crack at anyone for anything at even the most difficult times on social media, Kim Kardashian has been accused of “partying” while her little boy was in hospital with life-threatening pneumonia

“Don’t even try me”

Thankfully, 2-year-old Saint is home and recovering now, but a bout of serious illness was never going to get in the way of determined trolls.

“When was this? You were celebrating at parties on your Snap the last two weeks,” one snarky Twitter user posted, echoing the thoughts of other critics who decided Kim and Kanye had left Saint in his hospital bed in favour of “getting lit”. Of course, their assertions are simply NOT true, and an exhausted Kim has quickly clapped-back at her critics reminding them that it’s family first at Chez K and they should all just shoosh the heck up.

“Lets get this straight,” Kim posted on Twitter, responding to a fan’s supportive tweet defending the KUWTK star. “I did not leave my son for one minute during his hospital stay.”

“We were there Wednesday night to Saturday,” Kim explained. “NYE WAS SUNDAY NIGHT. People came over when he was already asleep for the night! Don’t even try me when it comes to my kids.”

“No wonder”

Some trolls were quite keen to critique Kim’s parenting after Saint was discharged from hospital, too, because apparently meaningful hobbies are dead and piling-on people you don’t know is the new scrapbooking.

“Hospitalized for 3 days !!! That explains why the poor kid looks exhausted in this photo!!! Their fun comes first then his health. Good job Kim n Kanye,” was the kind of sarcastic and mean-spirited comment aimed at the Wests.

“Baby looks so sick/why drag him around everywhere,” another person wrote.

“Look at how she dresses them no wonder y he was with sick,” someone else offered.

*insert giant sigh* We honestly don’t know how Kim turns a blind eye to the nastiness that’s thrown her way. It’s a great example of “shaking things off” and remaining positive, under tricky circumstances.

“Pneumonia is so scary”

Kim took to social media, just after Saint was discharged from hospital, to thank the medical staff who cared for her little boy and share a little bit more about how stressful the experience was for everyone.

“My precious baby boy is so strong!” she posted. “After spending three nights in the hospital & seeing my baby get multiple IV’s and hooked up to oxygen machines, our end of year was challenging.”

“Pneumonia is so scary. I just want to thank every nurse and doctor out there who works so hard around the clock. We are so grateful for you all! He’s home and all better. He’s so resilient I’m sure he will still say the ambulance ride was cool! My strong Saint.”

Here’s hoping that wee Saint is well and truly on the mend and things are much peachier as the family await the arrival of their new baby very, very soon!
