How to throw a gorgeous watermelon birthday party!
All kids love watermelon! So why not throw a gorgeous watermelon-themed birthday for their next bash, since the weather is warming up?
Here’s some inspo.
The balloons
Head to your local balloon shop for watermelon balloons, but if they don’t sell them, pick up a few in green and pink, and then draw on black dots to set the scene.
The cake
WOW! This watermelon sponge cake by Cake by Lynz is impressive, especially when cut.
And how beautiful is this take?
Of course, you can always carve a watermelon cake, from an actual watermelon …
The party food
Scoops of watermelon in pink and green ice cream cones make an easy party treat.
Watermelon macaroons are also on theme, and delish.
It goes without saying that slices of watermelon should always be present on a watermelon party food table.
You can pretty much serve anything as long as it’s pink and green. Think watermelon cupcakes and jelly cups.
Hollow out a watermelon and then fill it with watermelon juice and a serving ladle for a cute drink idea.
The fun
Have a watermelon eating contest, where the child who eats the most fruit is the winner!
You can also set a craft table up with sheets of pink and green cardboard, paddle pop sticks, glue and washable black markers to make watermelon pops.
A paper mache watermelon pinata, filled with lollies, would also be fun!
The party favours
Decorate some pink paper bags with black dots for a DIY watermelon lolly bag, like the bought ones here.
Or you can make an easy watermelon bag using a brown paper one and a watermelon drawing or stuck on craft, like below.
