Prince William and Duchess Kate have just spoken delightedly and lovingly about the newest addition to the royal family.

“The Sleep Deprivation Society”

The as yet un-named Baby Sussex arrived at 5.26am on Monday morning (London time) and his daddy could not be more excited.

“I’m so incredibly proud of my wife,” Harry said. “And as every father and parent would say, your baby is absolutely amazing. But this little thing is absolutely to-die-for so I’m absolutely over the moon.”

This afternoon, His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex shared the news of the arrival of his and the Duchess’ first born child. Their son was born early morning on the 6th of May, 2019 and weighs 7lbs and 3oz. Their Royal Highnesses thank you for your support and kindness during this exceptionally joyful time in their lives as they welcome their baby boy.

Now big brother Prince William and sister-in-law Duchess Kate have shared their thoughts on the tiny Sussex royal and it’s relatable in every way.

Will and Kate were at The King’s Cup regatta yesterday when Wills was asked his thoughts on his brand new nephew.

“Obviously thrilled,” William said. “Absolutely thrilled, and obviously looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quietened down.”

“I’m very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the Sleep Deprivation Society that is parenting,” he quipped cheekily.

When press asked William if he had any nuggets of advice for his younger brother, the answer was yes … and no!

“Plenty of advice, plenty of advice,” William noted, “but no I wish him all the best and I hope the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in their family and the joys that come with that.”

“Spring is in the air”

A stylishly dressed Kate noted that this time of the year is a baby and birthday bonanza for the Cambridges and the Sussexes.

“It’s such a special time, obviously with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays it’s such a great time of year to have a baby, spring is in the air,” she laughed.

A very delighted Kate was also careful to point out that despite the joy of welcoming a baby, those early weeks are not easy.

“As William said, we’re looking forward to meeting him and finding out what his name’s going to be, so it’s really exciting for both of them and we wish them all the best,” she said.

“These next few weeks are always a bit daunting the first time round so we wish them all the best.”

Harry and Meghan are due to debut their little one in the next day or two. We can’t wait to hear from the new mum and clap eyes on their tiny boy.
