Vida is a Spanish name meaning “life” – something that this family have come to appreciate even more following their eldest son’s recent cancer treatment.

Vida’s other names have special meanings too. Her first middle name – Amber – honours Michael’s mum, Amber. Luisana’s mum’s name is Betty – Vida’s second middle name.

“I value life much more”

Michael and Luisana are now parents to Vida AND two little boys – Elias and Noah. In November 2016 the couple confirmed that Noah – then three – had been diagnosed with cancer. By April of 2017, following treatment, the shared the brilliant news that Noah was now cancer free.

“These things, when they happen to you in life, they make you realize that the most important thing isn’t what you thought it was — it’s to have faith, to be strong,” Luisana told Argentinian TV host, Susana Giminez earlier this year.

“There were nights I couldn’t sleep, that I prayed to God, because it’s a long process. But thank God the worst is over. When things like those that happened to us, your take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today,” she said.

It’s clear that family is truly the priority for this now family of five. We wish them much better days – which they truly deserve – and send them a huge congratulations on the birth of baby Vida!
