Luisana took the opportunity to update the world on 3-year-old Noah’s truly excellent progress at a press conference for her upcoming film, Those Who Love, Hate.
Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer five months ago and has been undergoing treatment in Los Angeles. The BBC reports that Luisana spoke emotionally of the profound impact her little boy’s health crisis had on the family.
“When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today,” Luisiana said.
“Thank God, my son is well.”
“It helped us a lot”
The mum-of-two said the public’s support, messages and prayers had made a big difference to her and Michael at a very challenging time.
“I want them to know that they reached us and that it helped us a lot to come through this,” she said.
She explained that it was difficult to talk about Noah’s cancer, and that she was still feeling raw and traumatised.
“It’s difficult for me to speak about this. It’s very recent and I’m still a bit sensitive about the subject.”
Luisana said that the kindness of others bolstered her spirits during some very difficult days.
“The love is daily, when people stop me in the street. It’s wonderful to know that you’re accompanied in life and that people love you,” she said.
Bublé and Lopilato were married in 2011 and have two kids, 3-year-old Noah and 1-year-old Elias.
The family had understandably withdrawn from public life and work, concentrating all their energies on supporting Noah’s treatment.
They have now returned to their Canada homeland and are focusing on a much brighter future with their happy, healthy little boy.
“We are looking forward to thinking about the future, to seeing our children grow.”
