Just when we thought we weren’t going to spy the little royals until Meghan and Harry’s wedding, Kensington Palace surprises us with not one but two beautiful photos of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis!

Hello little Louis!

In celebration of the new little prince and his big sister’s birthday, two candid and very smoochy snaps taken by Duchess Kate have just been added to the royal social media accounts.

One was taken when little Louis was just three days old, and the other on Princess Charlotte’s birthday, a few days later.

‪”The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, taken by The Duchess at Kensington Palace,” Palace reps posted. “‪This image (below) was taken on 2nd May, on Princess Charlotte’s third Birthday.”

” ‪The Duke and Duchess would like to thank members of the public for their kind messages following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte’s third birthday.‬”

A second solo image of the newborn prince was taken on 26 April. (Scroll down for that!)

Third time’s a charm

Prince Louis Arthur Charles – or Prince Louis of Cambridge if you want to get fancy – was born at 11.01am on 23 April. He weighed in at 8 pounds 7 ounces (3.82 kilograms) and his dad, Prince William, was by mum Kate’s side as their little guy entered the world.

“The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 11:01hrs,” the Palace announced of the new arrival. “The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

Kate and William headed home several hours after the birth, and royal family members visited the newest little prince – who is fifth in line to the throne – in the days afterwards, expressing their delight.
