Chrissy Teigen shares vagina-steaming, breast-pumping, NASA admiring baby pics
You can’t say that Chrissy Teigen has been particularly idle since giving birth to her second child, newborn baby boy Miles …
Keeping up with Chrissy
In a case of being careful what you wish for, a very pregnant Chrissy welcomed young Miles three weeks ahead of his due date and she’s hit the ground running since, adjusting to life as a family of four.
It’s clear that Chrissy’s not a regular mum. She’s a cool mum, carving her own unique and hilarious path through those newborn days, and getting on with all the usual things she likes to do.
Firstly, she headed out for a night on the town with her husband, Grammy award-winning singer John Legend. Straddling mum life and hot wife admirably, the glammed-up model pumped breastmilk en route to their date and by the looks of it, she didn’t even spill any down her front. #superpowerconfirmed
John proudly shared an image of this relatable scene on social media with the caption: “I know it’s Father’s Day and all but my wife is pretty awesome. She’s taking me to dinner but still on mummy duty.”
Downstairs detox?
This wasn’t the only intimate moment CT shared on her Instagram account. Yesterday, she offered unequivocal proof that she approached beauty from every angle, uploading an image of herself wearing a sheet mask … as she steamed her vagina.
Fact is vagina steaming is not really a great idea (thanks for nothing, Gwyneth!) but it did make a pretty hilarious photo opportunity and Chrissy is nothing, if not, committed to entertaining her fans.

Gwyneth Paltrow made this practice popular and explains: “You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al. It is an energetic release—not just a steam douche—that balances female hormone levels. If you’re in LA, you have to do it.”
Babyology favourite Dr Jen Gunter says … “don’t do it!” Dr Jen explains that this kind of intimate steaming can disturb the balance of lactobacilli in the vagina and upset what is already a self-cleaning eco-system. She notes that steam can not reach the uterus unless you pump it up there with some sort of high-pressure apparatus, which you obviously shouldn’t.
In short? It’s a load of bunk. #SozChrissy
Making a difference
Earlier today, the mum-of-two shared a photo of young Miles, wearing a pretty spiffy NASA beanie and a sleepy smile. While some might dismiss Chrissy as a pretty face, she’s actually a super clever cookie with an interest in politics, social justice and … science!
It’s clear that she’s keen to promote similar leanings in her kids.
Late last week, on US President Donald Trump’s 72nd birthday, Chrissy and John launched a campaign to raise funds for the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) in a quest to protect the rights of asylum seekers and their children, the LGBQTI community and other vulnerable groups.
Chrissy, John, two-year-old daughter Luna and son Miles donated $72 000 EACH to the ACLU and invited followers to donate $7.20, $72, $720 or similar, too.
Their efforts raised over $1 million US in 48 hours, showing just how much her community cares about human rights – AND that this family are determined to use their high profiles for the greater good.
