Nawww. Carrie Bickmore and Chris Walker have just added a third child to their gang, announcing this delightful news in an Instagram post on Sunday.

“The nights are long”

“Welcome to the world little ADELAIDE (or Addie as your siblings have already started calling you),” Carrie captioned a postpartum snap of herself, Chris and their fresh newborn. “We are absolutely besotted with you.”

Now, as the dust settles and this family of five get used to their new normal, Carrie’s popped another gorgeous snap on Instagram, a little Addie update if you will.

“The nights are long (forgot how long)…but the years are short,” Carrie wrote alongside a photo of her growsuit-ed baby sleeping snugly. “Treasuring every moment.”

“Enjoy those newborn snuggles”

Carrie’s followers could not get enough of baby Adelaide, possibly even sniffing their phones in the hope of taking in a little bit of that special newborn fragrance.

“Congratulations! OMG she looks so much like Evie,” one fan posted.

“Before you know it she will be charging around with her brother and sister,” another follower wrote.

“She’s gorgeous!! Beautiful name too. Enjoy those newborn snuggles,” someone else commented.

Goodbye sleep!

The nights are long with a new baby on the scene because weirdly they don’t seem to realise that nights are even a thing. Life is more like one very long and very hungry day during those very early weeks and however experienced you are it is so easy to forget … until they roll around again and have you wondering just how often one child can feed as you fall asleep over your (cold) mid-morning coffee. Zzzzzzz.

The wakeful and gorgeous Addie joins siblings three-year-old Evie and eleven-year-old Ollie at Chez Walker-Bickmore and from all accounts, everyone’s completely stoked.

Evie is especially chuffed, a pre-birth Carrie reveal suggests, because she had been certain she was getting a baby sister and didn’t care who knew!

“Ollie thinks we’re having a boy and Evie thinks we’re having a girl,” she told listeners in her final radio program of the year.

Brilliant call, Evie and HUGE congrats to this lovely family!
