“Absolutely besotted” – Carrie Bickmore welcomes a beautiful baby girl
The Project anchor Carrie Bickmore and her partner Chris Walker have welcomed a baby girl to the family, with Carrie admitting they’re all “absolutely besotted” with their new addition.

Carrie and Chris announced their new little darling-face via a sweet Instagram post on Sunday.
“Welcome to the world little ADELAIDE (or Addie as your siblings have already started calling you),” Carrie wrote alongside a photo of herself, baby Addie and Chris. “We are absolutely besotted with you.”
We’re guessing that Chris and Carrie’s three-year-old Evie is at peak excitement right now. A couple of weeks ago Carrie admitted that while her eleven-year-old son Ollie was pretty sure he had a baby brother on the way, young Evie suspected it was a wee sister her mum had on board.
“Ollie thinks we’re having a boy and Evie thinks we’re having a girl,” she said on Hit Network’s Carrie and Tommy afternoon show, “so one of them is going to be very disappointed and one very excited.”

The name Adelaide is of German origin and means ‘noble or nobility’.
Evie is of Hebrew origin and means ‘life’.
Oliver is of Latin origin and means ‘olive tree’.
Everyone’s very excited
“Congrats to Carrie and her family that’s just got a bit bigger – a huge welcome to little Addie,” her colleagues at The Project wrote on Instagram, reposted the cute fresh family photo.
“Yayyyy! I just texted her yesterday saying ‘where’s this bloody baby?’ She didn’t reply. Maybe she was in labour. Anyway yayyyyy Carrie Bickmore,” Carrie’s co-panellist Meshel Laurie posted on Instagram.
“Ohhhhhhh I love her name!!” Ten personality Sarah Harris wrote. “You look so happy and beautiful Carrie Bickmore.”
“Just beautiful. Congratulations,” model and mum-of-two Megan Gale posted, while Emma Wiggle posted six very congratulatory yellow Wiggle yellow heart emojis!
Three out of six?!
Carrie said that Chris was possibly even keener than Evie to add another kiddo to the family mix.
“He’d have six kids if he had his way! He loves kids and loves watching them playing together,” she told Who in November.
“Evie has [Chris] wrapped around her little finger, so who knows how she is gonna cope with a baby in the mix.”
