It’s only been about three months, but Amy Schumer is certainly loving motherhood. Even if it can be a little hectic at times. She and husband Chris Fischer welcomed baby Gene into the world in May, and Amy is already looking more than comfortable in her new role.

Post-birth exercise

A recent Instagram post shows Amy and Chris after a doubles volleyball game, and while they look like they’ve had a serious workout, Amy couldn’t be happier. “3 months after a C playing doubles volleyball for 90 minutes!” she captioned the post. “I feel so strong!”

Parenthood highly recommended

Amy goes on to make her latest personal recommendations, including Trick Mirror, a new book of essays by Jia Tolentino, and Tarantino’s latest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which she describes as “very fun”.  Clearly her world is not entirely about nappies and feeding, which is refreshing, however it’s her final recommendation that really strikes a chord.

“I want to recommend being a parent if you can,” she wrote. “It’s nuts.”

What do the fans think?

Amy’s post received a host of positive and admiring comments. Just two weeks ago, Amy shared an inspiring photo of herself beach-side in a swimming costume, proud of her post-baby body. And now this week, she’s playing team sports and feeling strong and fighting fit. But for her many followers, it’s her love of being a parent that ties it all together, with comments such as ‘’This is awesome! Go mom.” giving Amy the big thumbs up.

“I love you for recommending being a parent, if you can!” says another. One follower is “obsessed with everything about this post,” while another just wants to thank Amy “for being so damn authentic all the time. It’s so refreshing.”

Amy’s original approach to life always stands out from the crowd and makes a difference. And now she’s a parent, nothing much has changed. Can’t wait to see what the next three months of motherhood will present.
