Amy Schumer just had a baby and he’s a cute as a baby can be. And honestly? If anyone deserved a very cute baby it was Amy Schumer because her pregnancy was an epic marathon of one thousand pukes. Literally.

Amy’s royal baby

Amy suffered from the chronic condition hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) for the entire 40 weeks of her baby’s gestation. She literally threw up over one thousand times, forcing her to cancel gigs and spend time being treated in hospital for her chronic nausea and dehydration.

This week, thankfully, that terribly tricky part of growing a baby came to an end. Her and husband Chris Fischer’s little boy was born two days ago.

“10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born,” she captioned their first public family photo, sharing it on Instagram and looking incredibly relieved and loved up.

Welcome to the world Gene

The royal part of the caption refers to Amy’s bub’s almost-twin, Baby Sussex who arrived the day after her little guy, but to much more fanfare.

Amy’s also pipped Meg and Harry at the post when it comes to baby name reveals, letting fans know what her wee little one was called LONG before the royal couple do the same. Okay, probably one day before, but that’s a long time on the internet, mums and dads.

Today the new mum shared a fresh photo of her little guy as she spilled the beans on his (freaking adorable) name.

“Gene Attell Fischer and his dad Chris,” she wrote under an image of brand new baby Gene having a snuggle with his daddy.

Both Gene and Chris are sporting bed hair and a satisfied expression, and honestly who wouldn’t be satisfied because the tiny boy is a total champ. And his mum’s not puking anymore!

Win. Win. win. Welcome to the world, baby Gene.
