“Here comes Archie!” – Very exciting news about Meghan and Harry’s baby son
Overnight it was announced that young Archie Harrison is set to take his very first royal trip!
“First official tour as a family”
The littlest royal is off to Southern Africa with his mum and dad – and it looks like everyone is very, very excited about it.
The Sussex Royal account – which is the Instagram base of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan – explained a few more of the details, including the fact that this trip is not very far away.
“TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited to announce that they have been asked to carry out a tour to Southern Africa this autumn,” the couple announced. (That’s the UK’s autumn, obviously. It’s summer there right now.)
Apparently the visit will take place in South Africa, Malawi and Angola, with Harry also popping off to Botswana.
It feels a little like the tour will mirror the pair’s 2018 visit to Australia and Pacific nations in terms of tone, with lots of engagements and friendly meet and greets planned.
“The Duke and Duchess are really looking forward to meeting so many of you on the ground and continuing to raise awareness of the high impact work local communities are doing across the Commonwealth and beyond.”
“This will be their first official tour as a family!” came the final line of this announcement. Instagram erupted at the almost-mention of baby Archie.

“As a family!! Here comes ARCHIE!!!” one posted in the comments under Meg and Harry’s announcement.
“Get ready for another royal welcome!!” someone else wrote. “We Africans love to show off and you will be treated with so much love and respect! Can’t wait for this tour!”
“Yes take Archie Home to the Motherland!” another follower wrote approvingly.
