Young Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor made his entry into the world on 6 May with much fanfare, and royal fans have been keen to hear more details about this little boy ever since.

Wild about Archie

Mum and dad Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have shared a few sweet shots of their baby boy, and bits and bobs about him have been slowly leaking to the press.

First, we found out that Archie is a “hungry little baby” who was keeping his parents up at night. Then we found out that the family’s home is right under a busy flightpath – and had to be soundproofed to make it suitable for them.

It was also suggested that the new royal nanny had been hired and that they were not from the usual organisation that the family’s baby wranglers are typically sourced from. Those notorious ‘inside sources’ have revealed that the nanny has signed a non-disclosure agreement, but that comes as no surprise. Surely everyone who works in their inner circle would do the same?

Now there are even more royal news morsels with the royal correspondent for The Sunday Times, Roya Nikkhah, confirming that Archie will be christened as early as July.

A royal tradition

The Times reports that the youngest royal baby will be officially baptized “in Windsor next month.”

“The Sussexes have chosen St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle for the christening,” Roya’s report continued.

Harry and Meghan were married in St George’s Chapel just over a year ago, so it seems fitting that they’d return to the church to christen their tot. Prince Harry was also christened at St George’s Chapel, so there’s a bit of a nod to tradition there too.

There’s no official word from the palace as yet, but as it’s been fairly routine for royal babies to be christened between two and three months of age, this all fits with the whispers we’ve been hearing.

The palace usually announces the christening and then follows up with details of the godparents. It’ll be a brilliant opportunity to see not only Archie, Meghan and Harry together, but also Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis too!

It’ll be a big month for the family if this all pans out, with Prince George’s sixth birthday falling on 22 July and Duchess Camilla’s on 17 July. And let’s not forget Prince William who is about to have a birthday on 21 June. He’ll turn 37.
