Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria welcomed a baby boy last week, and they’ve taken to social media to show off their sweet little guy.
Here for art thou, Romeo!
“We are happy to introduce you to Romeo Alejandro David Baldwin,” Hilaria posted on her Instagram account. The couple announced Romeo’s arrival four days ago, with a brief “he’s here! He’s perfect! 8lbs 2oz” update.

Alec and Hilaria are already parents to Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo – and 22-year-old Ireland, Alec’s daughter from his marriage to Kim Basinger.
It’s fair to say the family is growing speedily! In fact, last time we posted about Alec’s kids, some Babyology readers couldn’t believe how close together they were in age and were sure we’d made a mistake. Let’s look a little more closely at their birthdates so you can see how this very busy family played out:
Carmen – born August 2013 – now aged 4
Rafael – born June 2015 – now aged 2
Leonardo – born September 2016 – now aged 1
Romeo – born May 2018 – now aged 1 week
It probably does seem kind of unfathomable that the Baldwins have kids aged 0, 1, 2 and 4, but they truly do!

If you were a doubter, you’re in good company because it seems even Hilaria was shocked about her ever-increasing baby situation … but also very happy.
“I cried when I found out! I wasn’t upset about it but I was overwhelmed!” Hilaria told US Weekly. “I really do believe that this baby was meant to be and will come and we’ll be completely obsessed with him. So no, I don’t wish he was a girl. With that being said, Carmen was a little disappointed because she’s been wanting a little sister! I don’t know if I can do 5!”
“This is garbage”
The famously bendy Hilaria has already faced criticism in the days that followed Romeo’s birth. The yogi and mum-of-four shared a postpartum photo of herself apparently aimed at celebrating health and her recovering body. She very quickly came under fire for promoting unattainable standards.
“My purpose here is to normalize the postpartum figure and over the next days, weeks, and months, show you how I strengthen my body and return to my non pregnant self,” Hilaria explained.
While some followers congratulated her for speaking her own truth and looking beautiful, many others were upset that she was focusing on sharing her body so soon after birth.
“This is garbage,” one commenter wrote. “And I’m a yoga instructor. Masking your need to be admired under some form of “health” is gross and it’s harming people,” pretty much summed it up.
