Look. It’s fair to say that Pink fans are a very special kind of music lover. Their ardent devotion to the acrobatic singer and mum-of-two often knows no bounds.

“Let’s get this party started”

But even we were surprised when we heard about Pink fan Denise Jones. Denise was at Pink’s Liverpool gig on Tuesday night and pulled off the ultimate tribute. Having a baby on Pink’s command. (Well, not really. But sort of. Stick with us here because it’s a cracking yarn.)

What happened was Pink began singing “Let’s Get This Party Started” and Denise went into labour. Yep.

Paramedics John Matthews and Dani Berg sprung into action as this little one arrived. They were on duty at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium and they were the first to meet the youngest Pink fan ever!

“When we reached her, it was quite clear the patient was heavily pregnant and showing signs of being in labor,” John told local paper The Liverpool Echo.

“We took the decision to move her as quickly as possible to the First Aid Room underneath the stand. We continued to assess her and established she was going to have to deliver the baby in the stadium as there was not enough time to get her to hospital. So that’s what Dani and I did.”

“It took less than five minutes,” John said, noting there was no time for pain relief as this little girl was on her way out and did not want to miss a thing.

“We didn’t have time to get concerned or worried, we just had to crack on and get on with it,” John revealed.

“There was no equipment in the first aid room, just a couple of beds. This doesn’t happen very often and I’d never delivered a baby in Anfield before. When things go well, it’s always a good feeling.”

Dolly Pink!

Mum and baby are doing very well – and adjusting to a last minute name change.

“I’m still massively in shock, just a bit gutted I missed the concert,” new mum Denise admitted. “But I couldn’t be any happier right now! The plan was to call her Dolly Louise but since she was born in the concert we’ve changed it to Dolly Pink.”

“Dolly Pink wanted to get the party started 🤘🏽❤️🤘🏽” Pink herself posted on Instagram, obviously stoked to have a little namesake.
