Unless you’ve been hanging out under a rock you’ll know that Duchess Meghan – who is reportedly due to have her baby in April or May – had her first baby shower in New York City last week.

Sleep like a royal baby

One of the gifts seen being lugged into The Mark Hotel (#TheMarkForMarkle!) was a cot – or as our American friends call it a crib – and in the interests of royal fanaticism we thought we’d track it down.

The cot is the Babyletto Hudson 3-in-1 convertible crib with toddler bed conversion kit and it retails for around $700 locally.

It comes in nine different colour combos and is made from lightweight pine and apparently very easy to assemble.

The cot’s mid-century modern styling and convertible functionality make it an attractive and long-lasting proposition for modern parents. It’s crafted from eco-friendly and non-toxic materials too.

The style number on the photo of Meghan’s cot delivery tells us that her pals chose WHITE for the royal nursery.

“A beautiful crib”

This cot is also super popular with mums and dads, scoring heaps of five-star reviews on Amazon. Parents noted it’s reasonably priced and looks gorgeous.

“I love this crib so much!” one mum wrote. “I put it together very quickly by myself and it looks amazing. It’s very modern, which is why I wanted this one. It’s not as expensive as the others and it’s totally worth it.”

“This is a beautiful crib in person,” another parent posted. “It has the retro mod look I was searching for. My son is now 2.5 and had this crib since birth. We had used all the mattress settings and now using the toddler rail that came with it as a toddler bed. I highly recommend this crib, it still looks like the day we bought it. I plan on gifting it to a lucky baby soon.”

Good for shorties!

Another mum noted that the low profile was perfect for shorter mums and dads.

“I absolutely love this crib. I was initially hesitant because the lines are more modern, but it fits perfectly in our more traditional nursery. I’m not a tall person, so the lower profile of this crib has been great because I can actually reach my baby even when the crib is on a lower setting.”

If it’s good enough for a royal baby, maybe it’s good enough for yours?!
