An interview with Princess Diana’s former head chef has revealed her to be a prankster of the highest order, especially when it came to her children. How freaking delightful!

Speaking to Hello! Magazine chef Darren McGrady spilled the beans, explaining that Diana organised a very unusual cake for one of William’s birthdays.

“I came into work that morning,” Darren told Hello! “… went down to the refrigerator, opened the door and I was just confronted with the biggest pair of boobs I’ve ever seen in my life.”

“The Princess had ordered a boobs cake for William’s 13th birthday!”

He was obviously as surprised by this turn of events as we are. Darren says he now regrets not snapping a photo of the bawdy cake which the princess had organised without his knowledge. He also noted that these sort of silly pranks were very characteristic of the Princess.

Supermodels for afternoon tea

In fact, Diana’s birthday gift for her newly-teenaged son – who is now a father to three of his own children – didn’t stop at booby cakes.

For that same birthday, Diana organised three other surprises, inviting supermodels Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell to pop over and surprise William when he arrived home from school.

Imagine dropping your school bag in the hallway and rounding the corner to see three of the most successful models of all time sitting at the kitchen table! (Okay we are guessing at that scene, but you get the picture!)

Diana and her microwave

Chef Darren said he spent a lot of time cooking for Diana and her boys, noting that the Princess was a pretty rubbish cook herself.

“When the boys were home I’d stay there and cook on weekends too but if it was just the Princess, I’d have weekends off and leave food for her,” he said.

Darren said he’d leave the fridge stocked with things Diana could microwave, popping post-it note heating instructions on each dish.

“I actually put cling film on with a little sticky note with a number two on it, and that told her to put it in the microwave and press two,” he told Hello! “That’s just how bad she was at cooking!”
