Jessica Simpson reveals that jumping to three kids is a challenge
It can be busy juggling family life and career, especially for celebrity mum, Jessica Simpson. However now she and husband, former NFL player, Eric Johnson have recently welcomed baby number three, life is even more hectic.
On March 19, Jessica gave birth to her third child, daughter Birdie Mae who joins sister Maxwell Drew, aged seven and brother Ace Knute, aged six, in completing an already gorgeous looking family. A quick skim of Jessica’s Instagram account reveals just how gorgeous – with the arrival of Birdie Mae adding even more cuteness to the overall picture.
In one stunning family shot, Jessica has written the caption, “Happy Easter from the Johnson Family, Party of 5,” showing just how thrilled they are to have gone from two kids to three.
Going from two to three
However, Jessica is the first one to say that life with three kids, seven years and under, is somewhat challenging.
“Three kids is no joke,” she told People. “It is definitely constant, and the biggest challenge for me is trying to be present when I am pulled in so many directions. They are all in such different phases now.”
And as if life isn’t busy enough already, Jessica, like so many mums, has her career to manage as well. According to People, she has her memoir coming out in February and the launch of her website JessicaSimpson.com, a home for her Jessica Simpson Collection as well as stories, ideas and photos.
Managing the job
Jessica says that there’s a lot of ‘”dividing and conquering” going on in their house at the moment, so it sounds like she and Eric are getting a handle on life with their latest addition. One thing that seems to help is always trying to find one night a week to share some kid-free time together. “We typically download a movie and order dinner or do something super low key,” she tells says. “Eric is the greatest motivator and connecting with him on morning walks is the most grounding part of my day.”
It may seem challenging for you now Jessica, but things are only going to get easier – or at least until the teen years arrive!
