Jessica Simpson’s new baby girl has no time for her mum’s nonsense
Birthday girl Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson’s second daughter, Birdie arrived back in March, weighing in at a generous 4.9kg.

It was a long and difficult pregnancy, with the now mum-of-three suffering from anxiety, back pain, bronchitis, exhaustion and some pretty savage swelling prior to Birdie’s arrival.
The pair were already parents to six-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew and five-year-old son Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-Noot) who appear delighted with their new baby sister.
Birdie’s arrival signalled much better times health wise for Jess, and a steep learning curve as she readjusted to having a little one in the house again.
Birdie, it turns out, is not only adorable but she has opinions. Jess has shared a bunch of photos on Instagram of her newest wee addition and a joyful yet no-nonsense personality is emerging.
Take the latest photo of Birdie spending a summer day on the lake. While Jess has captioned the image, “Water baby #3”, it’s quite clear that a deadpan Birdie would prefer to be somewhere else.

Jess’s followers loved this Birdie update, and her cute bored feels.
“Is this fun.. don‘t think so,” one captioned the shot.
“Cutie seems unimpressed,” another suggested.
“Come on Birdie Mae, give your mom a smile,” someone else urged and gosh that “smile, girl” thing starts early, doesn’t it?!
Birdie’s got form
It’s not the first time Birdie has looked like she’d rather be somewhere else. This photo of her with her big brother Ace has similar not-quite-sure vibes.
“The baby’s face is everything,” a Jess follower chortled.
“Someone isn’t interested in the fun,” another noted.
“Birdie looks very very serious!” someone else agreed.
