Prince George turns six today and his mum and dad have shared three new photos of their beautiful boy to celebrate, bless them!

The adorable series shows a happy gap-toothed George laughing and smiling in a pair of pics taken by Duchess Kate in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

A third image shows a flushed and content George squinting into the camera. It was also taken by Kate, this time in Mustique, where the family are currently holidaying as a family of five for the first time.

Curious about George?

These photos show that George is growing up fast, so what do we know about this little boy who is destined for big things?

Well, he likes playing outdoors – especially if his cousins are involved. He’s especially close to cousin Savannah Phillips and has apparently taken a real shine to Meghan and Harry’s baby son Archie, too.

George has a penchant for helicopters, police cars and most things with wheels, his dad Prince William has noted.

He also loves playing with walky talkies, toy swords and toy guns and … mucking about with the family dog.

George’s mum Duchess Kate is passionate about spending time outside too. Leading by example, she often heads off on hikes with her children encouraging them to collect pinecones, sticks and rocks.

Kate has also established a beautiful wilderness-inspired garden which is touring England, as well as designing outdoor activity cards to encourage children to interact with nature and championing the benefits outdoor play during her public engagements.

But back to George. The birthday boy has a broad range of other active and outdoorsy interests too. He loves dancing, playing tennis, skiing, bike riding and horse riding.

Prehistoric and catastrophic

In quieter moments, the little prince can be found learning Spanish from his nanny or drawing exciting things like dinosaurs and erupting volcanoes. He’s an admirer of things prehistoric and catastrophic!

He’s also a very helpful boy, often pitching in to carry the groceries inside when the supermarket delivery service arrives.

When the TV is flicked on at Kensington Palace or the family’s country home, you might find the future King watching Octonauts, The Lego Movie or The Lion King. George was also revealed to be a fan of Fireman Sam when he was a little younger.

Now that he’s a bigger boy, he also loves watching the football with his dad – and indeed two of his birthday photos shows him wearing an England football shirt.

George loves eating homemade pizza and he’s also a huge fan of pasta, his mum Kate has previously revealed.

In short, Prince George is a lot like other little boys we know!
