Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden opens up about dad life with newborn daughter Rad
Good Charlotte‘s Benji Madden and his wife, actor Cameron Diaz are clearly revelling in new parent life.
“I feel so lucky”
The couple welcomed their first child together back in December, and announced her surprise arrival in January, delighting fans.
“We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” the pair wrote in matching updates back in January.
“She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”
While this high-profile pair have appealed for privacy and a bit of space as they get used to new parent life, we’re now a couple of months down the parenthood track and clearly Benji couldn’t resist sharing a few details about his baby girl.
Posting on Instagram, Benji revealed that tiny Raddix has made life with Cam even more amazing.
“My Wife and Daughter fill me up with so much gratitude,” Benji captioned a rosy drawing on Instagram. “Everyday, I feel so lucky.”
“Just wanted to say it out loud!!!” the adorably loved-up rockstar continued. “Much Love & Best Wishes.”
Benji adorned his update with a heck of a lot of red heart emojis.
“The greatest feeling”
“Just so happy for you. It’s the greatest feeling there is!!!!!!!!” another follower wrote.
“You deserve all of the happiness Benji,” someone else commented. “I am so happy for you and your family.”
Little wildflower
In the wake of this wee girl’s birth certificate being made public, we now know that baby Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in LA on December 30, 2019, at 1:58pm.
That said, confirmed details are still quite sketchy.
It’s probable that the very pretty ‘Wildflower’ part of baby Rad’s name honours Cameron’s close friend Drew Barrymore. Her recent memoir was titled Wildflower too.
It’s suggested she was born with the assistance of a gestational carrier, but this has not been confirmed by her parents.
Whatever the story, it’s clear that this baby has enriched the lives of her parents no end. And it’s lovely to see.
