This week Kourtney Kardashian shared a cute vacay album on Instagram showing her seven-year-old daughter Penelope and her four-year-old son Reign enjoying a family getaway.

Here come the parent police

Kourt revealed they played on a farm, explored a pumpkin patch – just in time for Halloween – and even rode horses.

But the internet being what the internet is, some followers didn’t want to talk about the lovely time single mum Kourtney was clearly having with her kiddos.

Instead, some geniuses (insert sarcasm font) knew it was the very best time to take the mum-of-three to task over … Reign’s hair.

“She really needs to cut his hair,” one such buzzkill named tiffany616 posted under the photo.

Kourtney was having none of it.

“She really needs to not worry about kids that aren’t her own. He is a happy boy 🙏🏼,” Kourt shot back. #OUCH

It’s not the first time Reign’s hair has been top-of-mind for random strangers. A quick scroll through her Instagram reveals lots of comments like the one tiffany616 left.

“Cut his hair tho”

“Seriously, why do moms of boys refuse to cut their hair. Feels unfair.”

“CUT HIS HAIR😨 NOT CUTE.”

Hair equity for all!

It’s the latest in a series of HAIR-SHAMING episodes aimed not just at the Kardashians, but at other celebrities too.

Actor Megan Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green are constantly badgered on social media over their sons’ long hair.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have been similarly criticised over their son Silas’ long locks – over a number of years.

This ‘hair shaming’ of little boys is kind of ridiculous and tied up in ideas of traditional masculinity. We’re totally here for high profile types challenging these stereotypes, to be honest.

A weekend away.

Of course, Kourtney Kardashian has a solid track record when it comes to letting her kids – boys or girls – have longer locks.

Her nine-year-old son Mason (also seriously how is he NINE already?!) had long hair for years and young Penelope – aka P – only got her first big haircut earlier this year aged six.

Long hair equity is a thing in her house, it would appear! Long live long locks!
