Halloween is becoming more and more popular in Australia, and honestly who wouldn’t want to make the most of an opportunity to dress up their kiddos in ridiculous outfits?!
The cutest costumes going around
In Australia, our increasing enthusiasm for Halloween might be connected to nostalgia and community. It’s an opportunity to wander the streets with excited children, getting to know our neighbours and being part of something traditional and widely celebrated.
Kids’ costumes are becoming more creative and adorable by the year here, but there’s not yet an easy supply of them in store, so many parents are opting for handmade.
If you don’t have time to make a costume for your little one, you’ll be pleased to know that US brand Carter’s have a whole bunch of cute dress-ups for small children on their site – but they don’t officially ship to Australia*.
We’ve linked through to their offering anyway so you can see the full range, but most of these costumes are also available on Amazon – with local shipping – here. Their top-selling Halloween costume? It’s this tiny and very cheeky avocado (below) and honestly it’s not hard to see why! Look how smashing it is!
These cute costumes are as cosy as they are adorable and feature hoods, hats and matching tights or socks to keep little trick or treaters comfy and complete the look.
Granted it’s not exactly thrifty to snap one up, but perhaps baby’s first Halloween makes the cost KIND OF justifiable?
And who doesn’t want their little one to look like a tiny unicorn or llama or dragon?!
* Carters can ship to Australia via the Shopmate service.
