A meteorologist in Minnesota has presented the weather with her son on her back to celebrate International Babywearing Week.
Our National Forecast today is hosted by Meteorologist @smartinWX and a special guest. Unfortunately, the assistant was found sleeping on the job. ?We apologize for the inconvenience. #IBW2018 #babywearing #weather #meteorologist pic.twitter.com/4OviWHGlLV

Susie Martin chose to carry her 21-month-old son on her back while she worked to promote the benefits of babywearing to other parents.
“I wanted to promote this wonderful tool that’s helped me as a mum and the bonding experience between mother and son,” Ms Martin told Good Morning America. “I suppose it’s a way for the baby to be comforted. It was nice for me personally because I could multitask while comforting my child.”

The footage was shown across the country and received an overwhelmingly positive response. During the segment, Susie introduces her son, who looks very comfortable in a sling on her back, and has little red and black striped socks peeking out from either side of his mum. As Susie commences her weather report, you can see her son drift away to sleep, comforted by her presence and the sound of her voice.
It’s not the first time her son has been on television. For last year’s International Babywearing Week, Susie used the same carrier to bring her baby to work.

Susie said she was fortunate that her workplace supported her not just as an employee but as a mother too. Lucky lady!
