In all the fuss surrounding royal baby Archie’s arrival, perhaps you missed the news that there was an official teddy bear to commemorate his birth?

The royal bear

Yup! Meghan and Harry’s baby has his very own, very special cuddly toy!

The limited edition royal teddy is handmade in England for the Royal Collection Trust by esteemed bear makers Merrythought. It’s crafted from alpaca fleece cotton and silk making it the perfect cuddly buddy for the little – or big – person in your life.

The bear features a hand-embroidered nose and smile, and is finished with a pretty satin ribbon.

Not beary fair!

Alas, the bear – which was a limited edition release of just 100 – sold out super speedily. Dang.

That said, if you’re a) a royal fan and b) cashed up you might still be able to get hold of one.

At the time of publication, there were quite a few popping up on eBay. One had a listing price of over $1,000 while others were being hotly bidded for at around the $400 mark.

The original retail price for Archie’s official bear was $230 so it’s clear that being a lightning quick royal merchandise reseller pays decent dividends. Still … we’re not really sure it’s in the spirit of the bear’s release. Sob!

Surely these bears were really meant for royal enthusiasts and little bear admirers?!
