Prince Harry has said THE cutest things about Baby Sussex
With the announcement that Prince William is headed to Christchurch for Anzac Day, speculation about Baby Sussex’s arrival is reaching fever pitch.
- Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are expecting their first child this month
- Meghan and Harry are set to move from Kensington Palace to Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage
- The Sussexes announced they were expecting a baby back in October
“Our newest addition”
While we don’t know if the baby- who will be having a more private arrival than William and Kate’s kids – is here YET, we are guessing that William would not leave the country until his brother’s first kiddo has arrived. What we categorically do know that Harry’s just like every dad-to-be – preoccupied and excited about the changes ahead.
Here’s all the times that Harry chatted about those changes – and the baby he and Meghan are expecting together.
When Harry and Meghan attended an October reception the day after they’d announced they were expecting, Harry spoke for the first time about life with Baby Sussex.
“We … genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby … whether it’s a boy or a girl,” Harry said.
During an Australian tour walkabout, a fan yelled that she hoped that Baby Sussex was a girl. “So do I!” Harry yelled back as he strode on.
Shortly after, he addressed the world from the stage at the opening of the Invictus Games.
“Thank you for the welcome you have given Meghan and I over the last few days,” Harry said. “I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all.”
“There’s a heavy baby in there!”
In January, Harry spoke to a group of young people about the transformation that was occurring in his life.
“As someone who is about to become a father, I am acutely aware of our shared responsibility to make this world more resilient and its inhabitants more accountable for the next generation,” he said.
In February, Harry and Meg popped up at the Endeavour Fund Awards. Harry told reception attendees, “There’s a heavy baby in there!”
Meghan’s reply was equally cute: “He’s going to be a good daddy,” she said.
“I am excited. Very excited!”
As March rolled around, Harry was chatting more and more about his baby son or daughter, including 12-year-old well-wisher, Lucy Brightman-Stokes, who gave him a baby gift.
“Harry said he was happy it was a soft teddy, not a hard one, and said, ‘That will go in the crib’. I couldn’t speak (with excitement). I was awake until midnight last night,” Lucy said, Hello! magazine reports.
He told ex-servicemen, “I am excited. Very excited,” about Baby Sussex during an event in April, Hello! says.
Not gonna lie, we’re excited too. Not long to go at all until we catch our very first glimpse of this little one and find out his or her name!
