Travis Scott was “fearful of” seeing the placenta during Kylie Jenner’s birth
Recording artist Travis Scott has just appeared on The Ellen Show to talk a little bit more about how it feels to be a first-time parent with girlfriend Kylie Jenner – and promote his album Astroworld.
Placentaphobia
Travis – who arrived on Ellen’s famous couch with the gift of a pair of Nike Air Force 1s he’d collaborated on – was utterly down to earth and adorable in the segment.
He giggled, took a shot and joked along with Ellen about the very active Stormi’s “workout plan.”
“This is like, ‘daddy, make me go up and down or else I’m going to cry forever,” he said of one Stormi-favoured exercise, captured in a photo.
Travis also revealed that being present for baby Stormi’s birth was a steep learning curve, that he tried to take an active role and that his mother-in-law Kris Jenner aka Mama KJ was a godsend during this transformative experience.
“It was so scary,” Travis told Ellen. “This is actually my first delivery room. [Kris is] walking me through this whole process … There’s this thing called the placenta that I’ve just been hearing about. Oh my God. So I was fearful of that.”
“I cut the umbilical cord,” he said proudly. “And she held it down, mama K.J. She’s the best, man.”
Prodded for more info by Ellen, Travis noted that the placenta is “very, very crazy”.

Big love
Travis said he never thought parenting was going to be plain sailing, but that things fell into place once he clapped eyes on his little girl.
“Going into it, I was nervous and scared. You know, we were both young,” he told Ellen. “When you first had a baby in your arms, it’s uncontrollable.”
“It’s this whole warp that takes over your body. I never thought I could just love something so hard.”
“A full-blown runner”
She’s far from that fragile newborn now, finding her feet and transforming into an on-the-move toddler now that she’s nine-months-old.
“Stormi is just so animated,” Travis said. “She’s running around the house right now on this new walker. She’s turning it into a full-blown runner.”
It’s possibly the very same walker that Kylie copped flack for a wee while ago, with doctors urging parents to avoid the popular nursery equipment for safety and developmental reasons.
