Amy Schumer clarified that she is still pregnant after fans went into overdrive thinking she had given birth.

“Got me through pregnancy”

Earlier this week, the star’s Instagram’s post set tongues wagging thanks to some choice wording that led people to believe she was no longer pregnant.

“The book #expectingbetter by @profemilyoster got me through pregnancy,” she wrote in the caption. “It is a fact and statistic based look at pregnancy. She is an economist at Brown University. Her follow up book #cribsheet is about children from birth to preschool. I am so grateful for her work.”

Fans were quick to jump on the “got me through pregnancy” bit and quickly started to congratulate her.

“Uhhh congratulations? Lol idk if I’m reading too much into that,” one fan wrote.

Still very pregnant

However Amy has since taken to Instagram to clear up any confusion, and let everyone know she is still very pregnant with a cheeky stab at the press – and the medical industry – while she was at it.

“Amy Schumer And Chris Fischer set pulses racing while the heavily pregnant Schumer flaunts her growing bump,” the comedian wrote alongside a caption of her with her husband. “Amy is still pregnant and puking because money rarely goes to medical studies for women such as hyperemesis or endometriosis and instead goes to things like dicks not getting hard enough or old guys who want harder dicks.”

“Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls–t!”

The couple announced they were expecting their first child back in October and Amy has been honest about her difficulties throughout her pregnancy, suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) and was forced to cancel shows due to her hospitalisation.

“Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows,” she wrote on Instagram. “Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls–t!”
