Fans of popular reality show The Hills might know that Lauren Conrad is expecting her second child. She’s already mum to two-year-old Liam with husband William Tell.

“The stakes are so high”

She announced  baby number two was on the way back in April, just a day or so after another high profile mum – Miranda Kerr – announced her third pregnancy!

“It’s been hard to keep this one to myself!” she posted beside a photo of herself snuggling her baby bump.

“Very excited to share that our family will be getting a little bigger this year.”

Lauren’s just opened up a little more about the excitement of gathering all the things you need for your new baby. She notes that the second time around this is a much easier undertaking.

“The first time around, it’s intimidating because there are so many options when it comes to anything baby,” Lauren told Refinery29.

“The stakes are so high because you want to make sure you’re buying the best quality for your child.”

When you’re pregnant with bub number two, expectations are more realistic and the experience of already being a parent helps inform much more practical nursery choices.

Take this high-tech baby rocker, for instance. Lauren says it’s one of her favourites, so much so that she’s put it on her Amazon baby Wishlist.

The rocker in question is the 4moms MamaRoo Infant Bouncing Seat and it’s got a lot going on.

It bounces up and down and also sways from side to side, mimicking the movements parents naturally use when comforting their babies.

This rocker comes with five different motions and five speeds, which allows parents to soothe their baby with 25 different movement combinations.

“Recommended to everybody”

On board is an MP3 jack, a library of built-in sounds and an interactive mobile.

Lauren says this product is a total godsend for busy or exhausted parents. She doesn’t want anyone to live without it!

“If you just want to be hands-free and you want to be able to set your little one down, it’s [like] a little swing they can sit in,” Lauren explains.

“I put it on my list but I actually already own it. I wanted it to be recommended to everybody,” she admits.

Lauren also explained why having a gift registry like the newly-launched Amazon Baby Wishlist is a total life-saver.

“If you can ever eliminate time spent in the car and running around to stores, then you can spend a little more time with your family,” she points out.
