Carrie Bickmore and Chris Walker welcomed a baby girl named Adelaide a month ago and she’s just provided further proof that the family bonding game is strong!

Three is the magic number

Sharing a photo of Adelaide with siblings eleven-year-old Oliver and three-year-old Evie, Carrie admitted that her kids were growing closer. And closer. And even more close!

“No such thing as personal space for Adelaide!!” Carrie captioned the black and white image of her three kiddos enjoying a hearty snuggle on the floor. She hashtagged the photo with “brother” and “sister” adding a shrugging emoji because sorry-not-sorry for the sibling love!

Adelaide’s raising a hearty girl-power fist in the shot, obviously expressing her delight at all the smooches. Olly’s kissing his teeny sister on the forehead in a way that is making us quite emotional, and Evie’s gazing at the family’s new baby with the sort of heart-eyes the actual emoji was modelled on. #Nawww

The look of love

Carrie’s followers felt as emotional about this family snap as we did.

“Forming life bonds!” one declared on Instagram.

“If you look up the word ‘love’ – this picture should sit next to it as a visual – so precious!” another posted.

“Lucky girl, gorgeous little mates forever,” a follower commented.

“Literally the best thing about baby number 3 is seeing the other 2 love them to bits,” a fan wrote. “It just melts your heart.”

“You were worried”

Another follower reminded Carrie that she’d been concerned a third child might interfere with the bond between Evie and Ollie.

“And you were worried,” the fan commented on Instagram. “So much love in the house!”

It’s true that Carrie did get a bit teary about the family dynamics changing, ahead of Adelaide’s birth.

“I know families of three,” she noted in November, “and I know they’ll all love each other so much, but I don’t want anything to happen to their bond. So it makes me a little sad.”

“Despite the seven-year gap they are so close. I am laying in bed at 6.30pm (gotta love maternity leave!) thinking about how their relationship might change a little when number three arrives,” Carrie explained. “Hope they stay super close.”

It looks like sharing their delight in new baby Adelaide has actually brought them even closer. So sweet.
