Kylie Jenner’s new Stormi album reveals a tattoo session in 2-year-old’s honour
You’d have to be living under a rock to not realise that young Stormi Webster — the daughter of recording artist, Travis Scott and make-up mogul Kylie Jenner — has just turned two.
Stormi, Stormi, Stormi!
She had a product range created in honour of her second birthday, then a birthday-product launch party last weekend and then a reprise of last year’s StormiWorld birthday party this weekend.
To be honest it’s a lot of birthday and you’d be forgiven for being partied out.
It’s a little depressing to consider that this sort of relentless saturation marketing is what it takes to sell products. Perhaps even more depressing when the saturation involves a tiny little girl.
It is what it is, however, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Kylie Cosmetics fans are apparently loving this onslaught.
In fact at the time of publication all but one item in the new Stormi Collection mum and bub collaboration has already sold out in just a couple of days.
If you were wondering what that means financially for Kylie it could well be in line with Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS shapewear product release. That involved more than a MILLION units and Kim made more than $2 million in the first few minutes of her release alone.
It looks like Kylie – who actually pioneered the family’s huge push into ecommerce under Kris Jenner’s tutelage – is continuing her own enduring and nest egg-bolstering success with this sell-out Stormi range.
While we are all beginning to glaze over a little at all this Jenner/Webster/Scott news, Kylie’s laughing all the way to the bank. Not only has she made millions out of this new Stormi collection in just a few days, she also sold 51 percent of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty last year, pocketing US $600 million.
It’s a Stormi world
Even if you are a huge KarJenner fan you might have stopped clicking on all these birthday and make-up spruiking posts. If you did you may have missed some other tributes to her toddler daughter, in the form of an Instagram album of pretty cute stuff.
The collection of never-before-seen images and video show Stormi as a newborn, as well as footage of her dad Travis Scott adding a Stormi tattoo to his already impressive ink collection (below).
“And just like that she is two,” Kylie captioned this bunch of actually super cute updates.
And just think … It’s only 361 days until Stormi’s birthday! You can spend those days recovering from this celebratory onslaught.
