If you have always wanted a Thermomix, but couldn’t justify the exorbitant cost – however much it would change your life – then your time has come.

Big news

Aldi is set to satisfy Thermomix lovers over Australia with another version of the super-powered appliance priced at a mere fraction of the cost.

Word on the street is that the popular supermarket chain will be selling the Mistral Thermocooker in their upcoming Special Buys sale – and not only that, it will cost just $299, instead of the hefty $2,269 you pay for the much sought-after Thermomix.

The word is out

The internet is alive with the news as excited home chefs await the appliance’s arrival. Aldi Australia took to Instagram in order to spread the word:

“Offering amazing convenience and available at a fraction of the cost of other pricey appliances, the Mistral Thermo Cooker ticks all the boxes.” they wrote in an article shared on their Instagram stories.

But does it work?

Apparently, it does. And it comes with a three-year warranty. Not only that, it features a two-litre stainless steel bowl, a 1,000-watt heating power, an 800-watt motor, and ten different speeds. But wait there’s more. It also comes with a chopping blade, a steamer unit and mixing tool.

So you’ll still be able to use many of the same functions of a Thermomix – at a price that won’t put you into debt.

One fan, who previously purchased the appliance, was singing it’s praises online. “I bought one of these years ago when Big W had them and I still can’t break it,” they wrote on the Aldi Lovers Australia Instagram page.

The much-anticipated appliance will go on sale on the 7th September, so watch out for the stampede of determined shoppers. And if you’re keen to make the purchase, then get there early!
