Royal baby Archie’s pretty polo blanket is very reasonably priced
If you were admiring the lovely gold-edged blanket that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s baby Archie was wrapped in at this week’s charity polo match you will be very pleased that you landed here.
Snuggle like a tiny royal
The blanket is by the label Malabar Baby and is their Erawan Cotton Dohar.
This pretty piece was handmade in India and features three layers of natural cotton, stitched together for extra softness and comfort.
The centre layer is hand block printed in traditional style. The printed layer is sandwiched between a layer of light cotton voile on each side, allowing the print to show through slightly.
The royal stamp of approval
Perfect for use at home or on the go, it’s lightweight but also cosy.
And of course, it’s got the royal stamp of approval from Duchess Meghan and baby Archie who was wrapped in it for at least some of his unnecessarily controversial appearance at his daddy’s polo event.
Malabar Baby’s gorgeous Erawan Cotton Dohar retails for US$42 – which is around AUD$60.
That seems a small price to pay for a beautifully designed handcrafted piece that’s not only on trend for baby bedtime, but nice enough to wear as a shawl!
We’re fairly sure this royal endorsement will have this product selling out in a trice.
Archie’s blanket is part of a similarly gold-accented Erawan range that includes matching baby quilts, larger quilts, pyjamas for mum and bub, cot sheets, pretty pillows and bolsters.
Its makers say these pieces are inspired by Thai culture and in fact, each capsule range this label does is creatively designed with a particular part of the world in mind.
We’re very excited to have discovered this brilliant mum-designed label thanks to Meghan.
Thank goodness she makes a habit of sharing excellent designers with the world.
