We’re all aflutter at Babyology with the fabulous news that Pottery Barn Kids is heading Down Under!

Babyology writer Anita has done some snappy news spotting this morning – she has been a devotee of the sublime wares of Pottery Barn Kids for longer than she cares to remember, but like many Australians, she has had to gaze from afar. No longer! Sydney will become home to a shiny, new Pottery Barn Kids in the first half of 2013… or around Christmas this year – we’ve heard two conflicting reports!

US homeware giant Williams-Sonoma will open its first store outside of North America in Sydney’s Bondi Junction – and it will house Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma and West Elm. The outlet will operate out of the Exchange Building, which is currently under construction – opposite Westfield Bondi Junction.

Pottery Barn Kids has been one of America’s premier retailers for children’s wares since 1999. It’s a veritable haven for any parent, with beautiful decorator items and furniture for nurseries and play spaces.

The Sydney Pottery Barn Kids store will include furniture, bedding, bathroom accessories, window treatments, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, classic toys, nursery essentials and gear like luggage and backpacks.

The Sydney store will also have specially trained associates for complimentary in-store or in-home design services. In-store monogramming and baby and gift registry services will also be available. We simply cannot wait for the moment the doors are flung open, and we’ll keep you updated on an opening date.
