The Spice Girls tour is GO! Because friendship never ends – unless you’re Posh
This is not a drill! The Spice Girls truly have just announced that the rumours are true. The much-loved girl band are set to embark on a 2019 reunion tour (although they’re leaving Victoria Beckham at home.)
Stop right now!
While Vicky B is not keen to reprise her Posh role, she apparently DOES wish her former bandmates well (and suspect she’s cleverly getting a kickback even though she’s not hitting the road.)
“Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls’ so much love and fun as they go back on tour, I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!” Victoria said via a press release.
Victoria says she’s keen to concentrate on her fashion brand rather than embark on a throwback tour. That said, we probably shouldn’t hold her to that.
“It’s just the four of us,” Spice Girl Melanie Brown let slip on popular TV show Loose Women, ahead of the official announcement. “I hope Victoria will join us at some point. It’d be a shame if she didn’t.”

Kids and careers
Posh is not the only one with things to do, it must be said. The other Spice Girls have been busily carving out their own careers too.
Melanie Chisholm aka Sporty Spice has continued her music career as a solo artist. Melanie Brown has worked in TV and as an ambassador for Jenny Craig. Emma Bunton works in radio and is set to judge the upcoming US version of The Great British Bake Off. Geri Horner nee Halliwell has authored children’s books and also worked in TV.
The girls have also been busy having families since the Spice Girls last took to the stage. Emma Bunton is mum to two sons – eleven-year-old Beau and seven-year-old Tate. Mel C is mum to nine-year-old Scarlet. Mel B is mum to three girls – nineteen-year-old Phoenix, eleven-year-old Angel and seven-year-old Madison. Geri is mum to twelve-year-old Bluebell and one-year-old Montague. AND Victoria is mum to three boys and a girl – nineteen-year-old Brooklyn, sixteen-year-old Romeo, thirteen-year-old Cruz and seven-year-old Harper.

Say you’ll be there?
After many, many murmurs the news finally officially broke a few hours ago, setting the internet alight and sparking a resounding chorus of “Zig-a-zig-ahhh” across the globe.
It’s also sparked a brand new Spice Girls Instagram account which is being populated with throwback shots of the group (including Posh!)
The account also just shared a brilliant photo of a very, very young Adele confirming she too is a paid-up Spice Girls NUT from way back.
Spice up your life (again!)
Baby Spice Emma Bunton said it’s time post-millennials and their parents and grandparents got with the Girl Power program once more.
“It’s time to spice things up all over again!!!!! I can’t wait to perform to our forever supporting fans and a whole new spice generation! Love you all!” she trilled in a press release.
“I’ve said it sooo many times I’m beside myself it’s actually happening yipppeeee,” the beleaguered Scary Spice Mel B revealed. “I’m now properly screaming it from every rooftop – me and my girls will see you all on stage!!”
Just six UK tour dates have been announced, but this is being billed as a “Spice World Tour” and reports suggest that more dates in other countries – including the US and Australia – MIGHT pop up soon.
Ticketek has a wait list on their website – SPICE WAIT – at the moment, but it’s unclear if this is savvy data collecting on their part or a hint that dates may be announced.
Fingers, toes and eyes crossed that it IS.
