Meet Jimmy Sizzle – Jimmy Giggle’s surprise heart-throb alter-ego
Children’s entertainer Jimmy Rees is used to a little confusion around his name.
It’s getting hot in here
He’s known to Giggle and Hoot fans as Jimmy Giggle … but he’s just earned himself another name thanks to some hot-under-the-collar dance fans.
Jimmy has been competing like a total champ on Network Ten’s Dancing with the Stars and his wiggly-hipped routines have resulted in him being freshly dubbed … Jimmy Sizzle!
The name dropped after he’d swept across the dance floor in episode one, with judge Sharna Burgess declaring him a bit of a hottie. Since then Mr Sizzle’s gone from strength to strength despite being up against some pretty tricky odds.

Just over a month ago Jimmy and wife Tori became parents to twin baby boys named Mack and Vinny.
The couple are now juggling the care of their three-year-old Lenny and new babies with home life and DWTS challenges. A clip shared on the program last night showed the struggle is very, very real.

Not only are both Jimmy and Tori up almost every hour throughout the night tending to their babies. Jimmy often then heads off for dance practice even before the day has dawned.
“Lenny goes to pre-school Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays so I drive him there, zip off to the rehearsal studio to dance, dance, dance all day and then pick him up,” Jimmy told the Eastern Reporter.
“They are three full six or seven hour days of just dancing and squeezing in filming for the packages, Sunday is rehearsal day at Fox Studios and Monday is a long day before the show that night. I take Tuesday and Saturday off to spend with the family.”
All of the sizzle feelings
Women who had mostly thought Jimmy Giggle signalled a few minutes peace as their child sat transfixed in front of Giggle and Hoot have been caught by surprise … and become paid-up Jimmy fans themselves.
“Wow I’m a little bit in love with Jimmy Giggle apparently,” one wrote on Twitter.
“OMG just watched encore ep of #DWTSau and I am fan girling #jimmysizzle!” another gushed.
“I discovered something about myself tonight that I never thought I’d feel #jimmysizzle,” someone else commented.
A family affair
It must be said that Jimmy’s not the only attractive and talented Dancing star juggling a family.
- The smiley, sparkly Constance Hall is a mum of seven – including a ten-month-old baby boy and a set of twins.
- The high-energy Michelle Bridges is mum to a three-year-old son.
- And the poised Sir Curtly Ambrose is a dad to two girls.
