Brows gone wild: Mum’s hilarious video of her daughter’s eyebrows goes viral
With many parts of the world still living under lockdown, people are turning in their droves to the internet to relieve the boredom that comes with isolation. And truly, what else is there to do when you’ve gardened, baked, cleaned and homeschooled enough to last you for the rest of your life? Make hilarious TikToks, of course!
One mum has taken the internet by storm with her boredom-busting TikTok videos of her baby daughter sporting the most glorious drawn-on eyebrows you’ve ever seen.
Brows gone wild
When Morgan, a 28-year-old mum from Oregon, uploaded the first video to TikTok on 8 April, little did she know it would attract over a million views and go viral around the world – making her adorable baby girl, Leighton Mae Rose, an internet sensation!
Morgan told Jam Press that she was inspired to create the video, entitled ‘Brows Gone Wild’, because “TikTok became the thing to do during quarantine. We thought it would be funny to see the expressions she makes paired with the brows!”

“Poor baby”
Feedback on the video was swift and varied. While most commenters found the clip cute and captivating, others criticised mum Morgan – even accusing her of being “cruel” and “traumatising” her baby.
“Seriously 😡 why would you do this to a baby?” one critic wrote.
“Poor baby,” another replied. “This beautiful baby may be traumatized after this — unless she becomes TikTok famous!”
“Omg!” warned one concerned viewer, “that’s probably so harsh on a babies skin, poor thing.”
“He is gonna sue you when he grows up..THERAPY..Therapy,” insisted another seemingly humourless person.
But Morgan isn’t fazed by the haters, telling Jam Press, “I don’t read most of the comments on any of the videos where it’s been shared, which is sad because I know there’s probably a lot of sweet and positive comments. But for mental health reasons, it’s best to just not even read any to avoid the bad. How sad is that? People can be so cruel on the internet.”

In another video uploaded to her TikTok account, Morgan shows how gently and carefully she applies the makeup.

As you can see, little Leighton isn’t at all bothered by her mum’s attentions – and certainly not “traumatised”. Phew! So all those super caring and vocal commenters can just just shoosh and enjoy the laughs.
