They’re back!

Well everyone bar Luke Perry (our first crush, sob), that is. Yep, the rich kids from West Beverly Hills High have finally reunited for a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot. Eeks!

The trailer for the much-anticipated reunion show dropped overnight and after seeing it, we are more excited than we were over the senior prom night episode.

Check it out.

That theme song

The trailer features favourite 90’s actors, Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh), Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh), Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders), Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman), Tori Spelling (Donna Martin) and Brian Austin Green Green (David Silver) getting ready of a morning.

But wait, is that a familiar song we hear?

Brenda is doing yoga but she’s distracted. Something else is going on, but she can’t put her finger on it.

Brandon, who we might add is no longer a pretty boy and is sporting a very sexy beard, rolls out of bed after his alarm clock wakes him with a tune that is turned off before it gets going.

As Donna’s coffee maker bubbles, we hear the first notes of the song.

Then as the trailer goes on, it becomes more obvious. Jennie Garth perfectly blow dries her hair to it, the dogs outside Andrea’s house bark to it and even the radio in Steve’s swanky sports car tunes in.

It’s the 90210 theme song! Yess!

And now we can’t get “da na na na, na na na na” out of our heads …

It’s been 19 long years

Almost 20 years have passed since the stars of the cult show appeared together on our screens.

The original 90210 enjoyed ten seasons and ran from 1990-2000.

Although the show did get a short-lived revival in 2008, not many of the original stars returned, so it was a bit of a flop.

Premiering in August on FOX in America, the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot will simply be called, BH90210.

According to FOX, the stars will play a “heightened” version of their original character – i.e. they will amp it up. So Donna will be VERY DONNA and Kelly, SO KELLY etc.

We can’t wait!

But we will still cry for Dylan

Notably missing from the promo is our beloved bad boy, Dylan McKay, played by the late Luke Perry.

As we all know, Luke suddenly and unexpectedly died following a stroke back in March. He was 52 years old.

What you need to know about BH90210

BH90210 will be a ‘twist’ on the original show, according to Fox News:

“Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason [Priestly], Jennie [Garth], Ian [Ziering], Gabrielle [Carteris], Brian [Austin Green] and Tori [Spelling] reunite when one of them suggest it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast … attempts to continue from where they left off?” writes the industry magazine.

As suggested, the character plots will be inspired by the actor’s real lives. Juicy!

It will run for six episodes as a limited series.

The stars took to their socials to share the news, posting a short teaser video about the reboot. Garth captioned her post with: “We’re coming home!”

While the teaser didn’t really give anything away, just hearing that theme song sends nostalgic chills down our spine.

Bring it! Here’s hoping it comes to Australia sooooon.
