Everybody, the internet has been won for today, with Maroon 5 dropping a brand new inspirational-women-studded video with Adam Levine front and centre – and his wife Behati Prinsloo and baby Dusty making the cutest cameos ever!
Family – and famous people
No matter that Adam is leading the charge, women take pride of place in the new clip for Girls Like You, with Cardi B – who happens to be expecting a baby right now – rapping toward the end.
Not sure if you’re really ready for this awesome, because Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Rita Ora, Lilly Singh, Ashley Graham, Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Silverman, Tiffany Haddish, Millie Bobby Brown, Aly Raisman, Chloe Kim, Ilhan Omar, Jackie Fielder, Trace Lysette, Amani Al-Khatahtbeh, Angy Rivera and Danica Patrick all appear in the clip – alongside fellow rad women/tots Behati Prinsloo and baby Dusty Rose.
These women are actors, singers, models, activists, politicians, lawyers, entrepreneurs, comedians and YouTube stars, to name but a few talents. Buckle up (and have a little sing-along or shimmy? Because how could you not?!).

Girls to women
Of course, only two of the women in the video actually are girls – Millie Bobby Brown and Dusty Rose Levine – but we’re willing to semi-overlook the fact that Maroon 5 used the term “girls” rather than the actual “women” that they are in the lyrics. (And honestly, isn’t it interesting that pop music so often focusses on celebrating or romancing “girls” and not “women”?! Let’s change that because we know better!)
Putting feminist urging aside, we’re glad that so many of our favourites – and new favourites – are featured in the clip. Not only are they featured, they’re doing Wonder Woman power stances and sharing activist slogans on their t-shirts. They’re generally being brilliant and inspiring women, and mainstream music should feature much more of that.
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are mum and dad to two little girls – 19-month-old Dusty Rose and 3-month-old Gio Grace. Adam and Behati began dating in back in 2012, then married in 2014 – in Los Cabos, Mexico.
