There’s a life-sized cake version of Prince Harry, Meghan and baby Sussex
Wait. What? WE KNOW! Isn’t this amazing. Not only is Duchess Meghan expecting a royal baby, but someone made a cake depicting her, her bump and Prince Harry. Not. Even. Kidding.
Nailed it!
The cake is the work of British baker Lara Mason and it’s not the first time she’s made an incredible cake – nor the first time we’ve written about her genius work.
Perhaps you remember the life-sized twin replica cake Lara made earlier this year? I mean, how on earth could you forget?

Her latest sugary work of art shifts focus from toddlers to the young royals, capturing Meg and Haz. At first Lara made the pair looking polished and beaming at the time of their engagement.
But the couple’s baby news prompted a cake-y update, with Lara adding a baby bump to Meghan’s form and a few other important new parent accessories. They’re now equipped to change nappies, burp their upcoming bub AND choose the perfect baby name!

It takes the cake
Meghan and Harry in cake form are currently on show at Cake International, The Sugarcraft cake decorating and baking show in Birmingham and its baker says the cake proved to be an epic effort.
“It was my biggest challenge to date,” Lara told The Mirror. “The faces were the hardest part and halfway through I worried I didn’t have any likeness at all.”
She’s a bit of a royal enthusiast and has whipped up several other cakes themed around the monarchy.
“I’ve done Prince George, the crown jewels as well as a corgi so this was kind of a natural progression for me,” she said.
Lara says Meghan and Harry’s baby is most definitely on her Cake To Do List for 2019. But for now, here are some of her other royal cakes …
