4. They don't have kneecaps
When your baby is tiny, there are pieces of under-developed cartilage where their kneecaps will eventually fully form.
It’ll take between three and five years for their kneecaps to harden, or ossify, properly. In the meantime, those spongey knees are conducive to more comfy crawling. #clever!
