Baby wipes are part of every parent’s must-have nursery tool kit, but not all wipes are created equal. Most baby wipes contain a confusing cocktail of chemical-based ingredients, but WaterWipes take it back to basics and keep it simple and natural.

WaterWipes is leading a gentle revolution for baby bots, wipe by wipe.

A gentle revolution

What would you do if every brand of baby wipe you used on your little one irritated their precious and delicate skin? If you’re anything like this Irish dad, you’d create the no-nasties wipe you wanted to use on your child, and manufacture it so that other babies could avoid worrying chemicals too!

WaterWipes creator (and baby wipe-making hero) Edward McCloskey says the ingredients in conventional baby wipes kept his baby girl clean, but had some uncomfortable side-effects.

“She suffered with sensitive skin and developed bad nappy rash,” Edward explained. ” I wanted to find out why, so I took a look at the ingredients in the baby wipes we were using. I was shocked to learn just how many chemicals were in them – and questioned should be putting them on her delicate skin.”

The perfect baby wipes

Edward was keen to find a gentler alternative to the wipes that were on the market, hoping to keep irritating chemicals well away from his baby. He was also convinced other parents would prefer to use a more natural wipe with their kiddos, too.

“I set about creating a purer, natural and safe alternative,” Edward says. “Many years later – and after a lot of hard work, testing, and scientific research – the perfect baby wipes, WaterWipes were born.”

He’s not exaggerating. His WaterWipes are the world’s purest baby wipe – and don’t use lots of pesky chemicals that may irritate babies’ skin. WaterWipes are made in Ireland, with 99.9 percent purified Irish water and just a drop of fruit extract, a natural skin conditioner.

Changing the world, one wipe at a time!

WaterWipes are so gentle, in fact, that they’re safe to use on premmie babies, and are used in many birthing clinics and maternity and neonatal units in hospitals throughout Australia.

“As pure and gentle as cotton wool and water but as convenient as a baby wipe,” WaterWipes are approved by Allergy UK and the Eczema Association USA.

Keen to further contribute to the communities their product works so well for, allergy-aware WaterWipes are a sponsor of the Eczema Association Australasia and support Miracle Babies Foundation, an organisation dedicated to helping premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them.

In addition to millions of parents worldwide, WaterWipes also has a devoted legion of high-profile fans too. These include recognised breastfeeding expert Pinky McKay, high-profile midwife and author Lois Wattis and Australian Paralympian Jessica Smith.

It’s hard to imagine why you’d use anything else on your precious baby’s skin!
