“Love yewwww!”

“Selfie!!! While my sister is getting ready to shove a baby out her v*g! Love yewwww!” Kat posted alongside the now world-famous pic which she’d promptly uploaded to social media.

The image, as you can see, shows a grinning Kat in the foreground and her sister Kimberley in the background experiencing what can only be described as hell in a hospital bed.

Kat, herself a mum of five, appears delighted to be a spectator in a sport she’s obviously very familiar with. Her sister, on the other hand, is less chuffed.

Wracked with pain, she’s the subject of a soon-to-be-viral shot – and possibly a meme of the future, to be honest.

“You really captured the moment”

Kat’s Facebook buddies mirrored her own delighted mood, and were keen to let Kat know they admired her artist’s eye.

“Girl! That is hands down the best picture I have ever seen!” one posted.

“That is a great picture, you really captured the moment,” another enthused.

“Lmao you’re the best sister. Taking pictures while she’s screaming in pain,” a pal chortled.

“I can’t take this”

Kat spoke to Mashable recently, explaining what was going on in the lead up to the pic and noting her sister was 100 percent in on the joke.

“She wasn’t in too much pain at first, so she thought it was pretty funny,” Kat explained revealing that her sister’s labour was being hurried along and things escalated quickly.

“I told her I was going to do it, she just started the oxytocin and the labor pains began almost instantly. She started to feel it and right when she was like, ‘Oh my god I can’t take this,’ I took the photo.”

And take it she did

While there’s apparently been a little bit of backlash about Kat snapping Kimberley in such a vulnerable moment, these sisters have it all worked out.

It’s great to see an accurate representation of what women go though during childbirth, to be honest, especially when it’s captured by someone loving who’s been there and knows how freaking painful it can be.

Thumbs up, Kat!

Huge congratulations to Kimberley and family on the birth of their new bub.
