Beautiful dad of ‘rainbow baby’ proudly helps deliver his new baby boy
Amazing birth photographer Leilani Rogers shared a brilliant image this week, and it’s caught the eye of lots of parents (and admirers of gorgeous photos.)

The shot is a sort of ‘next chapter’ for a family that made headlines a year or so ago, and shows an elated and emotional dad at the business end of his wife’s birth, ‘catching’ his new baby boy.
“Amazing birth this week. Some of you may remember this dad from a little over a year ago (swipe left). Well he caught baby #2 on Wednesday… it was a boy (#1 was a girl)” Leilani wrote on Instagram.
“Congratulations Hope and Hunter. You’ve struggled and overcome infertility, touching many hearts along the way.”

A hard road
And Leilani is one thousand percent spot-on.
Hope and Hunter had endured fertility challenges and a miscarriage before she first photographed their family in March of 2017 (when one particular image spoke volumes and touched hearts.)
Baby Evelynn – born in March of that year – received a similarly heartfelt welcome when her daddy first held her in his arms. (Below!)
Hunter was a little more prepared for what lay ahead when the pair added a baby boy to their family, but his signature ‘big birth feels’ were still brilliantly apparent.
And who can blame him?!
“This dad is the best!”
Instagrammers remembered Hunter from the photo Leilani had previously shared as well – and were so elated about this family’s next chapter.
“All the happy tears!!! I immediately recognized him. So happy for his family,” one wrote.
“Awe! I do remember him! So awesome!!” someone else posted.
“Omg!!! So happy to see this Dad again on here, pure love! So happy for them,” another follower commented.
“This dad is the best!” one (absolutely correct) mum summed-up.
Welcome to the family!
“The Maddens’ second birth was just as full of sweet moments as the birth before,” Leilani told parenting site Pop Sugar, explaining that the labouring mum sang her way through her contractions and that this cute gang were very ready to meet their newest member when he emerged – with some help from his mum and dad.
“Big sister Evelynn didn’t hesitate to sit down right next to him and welcome him into the family,” Leilani said.
The newest addition has been named Sullivan – and we’re sure you’ll agree he looks almost as focused and attentive as his dad! What a total cutie.
